  • A WORLD PREMIERE PRESENTATION of a poignant musical of unending hope and the power of family.

In 1915, during WWI, Armenia was attacked by the Ottoman Empire and approximately a million people were killed. Based on the playwright's family history, "When Two of Us Meet" is the story of one Armenian family. It is a story about beating the odds and surviving.

"Now when two of us meet in a crowded room, or in a foreign place, our voices echo the miracle of our survival."

PenArts is excited to bring another world premiere to Pensacola! Having done readings in New York and Washington DC, "When Two of Us Meet" will now come to Pensacola, FL for its first staged presentation. PenArts is excited to not only present this powerful musical about a very dark part of our world history, but to also have the playwright, Emily Simonian, in Pensacola for a Q&A after our Saturday night performance.
