Kyle Shepard, and everyone at BCA, is passionate about learning all they can about bird migration, and have dedicated their lives to this mission.
Originally from Mobile, AL, Kyle Shepard began banding when he was 12 years old with Martha and Bob Sargent at Fort Morgan, Alabama.
Kyle's professional background is in outdoor recreational management and construction though, in his free time, he is a director for, co-founder of, and co-operates Banding Coalition of the Americas.
Over the course of Kyle's 21 years of avian research, he has been a part of projects ranging from Hummingbirds to Raptors across the US, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
He has also constructed two Motus stations on the Alabama Gulf Coast for better tracking of tagged birds along the coast and is actively building international research collaborations.
You don't know what Motus is? Then you really should make plans to attend this presentation!
Light refreshments and social time after the presentation.
We are always out the door by 9:00!
