Civil rights attorney Ben Crump held a press conference Tuesday morning at the Chester Pruitt Recreational Center in Fort Walton Beach calling for transparency and accountability nearly two years after the death of Senior Airman Roger Fortson.

After another delayed court date, the family of Senior Airman Roger Fortson is asking the local community to stand with them in demanding justice.

This Saturday, a handful of bands will play a benefit show to raise money for the family of Senior Airman Roger Fortson, who was shot and killed in his apartment by an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputy in May of last year. Proceeds will help the family travel to Fort Walton Beach for court.
