2025 Hurricane Season

While still anticipating above-normal hurricane activity through the end of November, Colorado State University researchers Wednesday trimmed their forecast for the Atlantic storm season.

The National Atmospheric and Oceanic Administration has said that in the next few days it will stop providing data from satellites that have been helping hurricane forecasters do their jobs for decades, citing "recent service changes" as the cause.

NOAA is projecting another above-average hurricane season, with 13 to 19 storms. Pets and farm animals need to be a part of the planning, too.

It's anticipated to weaken and dissipate on Wednesday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
