Heartbeat Safety Presents: Infant & Child CPR/AED/Choking Training

Participants in American Red Cross Infant & Child CPR/AED/Choking Training courses gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to recognize and respond to emergency situations until EMS arrives.
Students learn proficient CPR, prevent choking, and how to effectively utilize an AED for both infants and children.
The American Red Cross issues certificates for students who successfully complete this course, valid for 2 years from the date of the class.
Classes are $135 per person and are open to anyone 12 years and up.
Spots are limited and pre-registration is required.

Pensacola Archaeological Society Lecture: UWF 2023 Field School Review and Goals for 2024 by Dr. Ramie Gougeon, Dr. Greg Cook, and Dr. John Worth
Pensacola Archaeological Society's Lecture: UWF 2023 Field School Review and Goals for 2024
The UWF Department of Anthropology will be offering two archaeological field schools in Summer 2024. The terrestrial archaeology field school will be focusing on surveys of the university campus and beyond, while the maritime field school will undertake excavations of Luna shipwrecks that were postponed in the Summer of 2023! Faculty from the department will be presenting highlights from past field seasons alongside plans for the summer season to come.

Food Distribution and Car Seat Giveaway
Representative Salzman in partnership with Farm Share, Kia, Kevin Stephens, and other community partners is sponsoring a quarterly community outreach event. This event includes 30,000 pounds of fresh food as well as 100 car seats for the residents of District One on Saturday, March 16, 2024, starting at 7:30 a.m. while supplies last at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church at 6205 North W Street, Pensacola, FL 32505.
This event will be a Drive-Thru for food with a designated space for walk-ups and a separate space for people to pick up their car seats. Cars may line up no earlier than 7 a.m. The first 100 families are guaranteed to receive food. Those interested in volunteering may contact the Director of Events, Jennifer Harrison at jennifer@gcpromo.com.

Join Escambia County Extension for a talk on Artfully Adding Pollinator Plants to Your Landscape by local plant expert Emily Peterson.
Seating is first come first served at 9:00 a.m. with talk participants having first choice of pollinator plants at a small Master Gardener Volunteer Plant plant sale (cash or check only). Activities to follow in the garden at 10:00 a.m. on pollinators including exhibits and plants for sale by the Native Plant Company.
A Walk Down Magnolia Lane Benefitting Embrace Florida Kids
A Walk Down Magnolia Lane is a golf-themed soiree celebrating the world’s greatest golf tournament and benefiting vulnerable children in Northwest Florida. Hosted at the Emerald Coast’s award-winning Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club, the event will feature a tournament-themed menu, golf-related activities, signature cocktails, outstanding company and music by Jacob Mohr.
Embrace Florida Kids, a nonprofit faith-based organization dedicated to providing homes, healing, and hope for vulnerable children across the Florida Panhandle, announced tickets and sponsorships are now available for its first-ever “A Walk Down Magnolia Lane” event. Presented by Shoreline Title, the inaugural event will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.

9th Annual Navy Point Arts and Crafts Fair
This is our annual spring event hosted at Navy Point's Triangle Park that started with a few artists and has grown over the years. We will be spotlighting The Joy Committee, an organization that rescues German Shepherds but also does a lot for humans in our community. They will have adoption and foster information available for anyone interested in helping. For spring shoppers local artists will be there with their paintings, pottery, and jewelry. Artisans with sewing crafts, pinback buttons, dried candies, baked goods, tropical plants and much more will be available.

Synopsis:
