Parents, need an easy weeknight plan for your middle schooler? We’ve got you covered! Our Science Social: Middle School Edition is a free, drop-off event for ages 11-14. Kids get pizza, soda, and STEM fun.

Who: Ages 11-14 (drop-off only) // Cost: FREE

Middle schoolers, this one’s just for you! Come take over the museum after hours for a night of hands-on science, exploring the exhibits, hanging out with friends, and meeting some of our coolest animals. And because no social is complete without food, we’ve got you covered with plenty of pizza and drinks.

Best of all, it’s free and drop-off only, so parents can take a break while kids dive into science. Spots are limited, so don’t miss your chance to join the Science Social: Middle School Edition: where science, snacks, and friends all collide! Parents, grab your free tickets to secure your child's spot in this program; PREREGSTRATION IS REQUIRED. Parents will be required to fill out and sign a program waiver before dropping off children.

Join us on Saturday, September 19th, beginning at 10:30 am at the Downtown Spring Library, Meeting Room A, as we welcome Guest Speakers Dr. Calvin Avant, Unity in the Family Ministry, Inc. Cheryl Howard, J.D., Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Museum of Culture and Heritage, and Cheri-Hofmann-Muir, part-time Research Assistant Southeast ADA Center, part-time as the Assistive Technology Program Coordinator, for the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) for the Center for Independent Living of Northwest Florida, Inc. (CILNWf) for the Gulf Coast region for a panel discussion on how the removal of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) has impacted the work of local community-based organizations.

People's Law School returns for its second free educational session on Monday, September 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Held on Monday nights in September following Labor Day, this long-running community program hosted by Levin Papantonio helps make the law easier to understand through practical, real-world information presented by experienced attorneys. Learn about legal topics that may affect your everyday life in a welcoming environment. Everyone is welcome, no legal experience is required, and attendance is free.

Join Levin Papantonio for the final session of the 2026 People's Law School on Monday, September 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Held on Monday nights in September following Labor Day, this free community education series has helped Pensacola-area residents better understand their legal rights before they ever need a lawyer for more than 16 years. Because an informed community is a safer, stronger community, these classes are designed to provide practical knowledge that anyone can use. The event is free, open to the public, and no legal background is required.

Hosted by the Center for Civic Engagement and Strong Towns, the Civic Leader Summit will equip civic leaders, public officials, business owners, nonprofit changemakers, and active residents with the tools to create communities that are vibrant, resilient, and thriving.
With a focus on local solutions to national challenges, attendees will learn proven strategies for:

Attracting and retaining talent
Inspiring investment and entrepreneurship
Supporting smart growth and small-scale development
The summit will feature dynamic presentations, engaging breakout sessions, and opportunities to collaborate with some of the nation’s most influential community builders, including Quint Studer and Chuck Marohn.

This year’s HalloZine Fest includes two ultraspecial events:
