We invite you to sit under the stars and listen to the action-packed stories of the Norse gods: Thor, Loki, Odin, and Freya. On this tour of the solar system, you'll learn fun facts about the planets, how the Nine Realms of Norse mythology were created, and how the days of the week received their names from the Norse gods. The show will end with a dazzling display of Norse constellations & legends. Recommended for ages 5+.

Our Planetarium is an inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Due to size, space is limited to 25 patrons at a time. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended for this reason. On Planetarium Nights, please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled showing. In case of no-shows/late shows: reserved spots will be released at show time to make space for the next party.
Shows begin at 6 and 7 pm and last approximately 45 minutes.

For one night only - Tenuta Torciano Winery, direct from San Gimignano, Italy, will conduct a wine-tasting school in Pensacola featuring wines from their vineyards.

Sip, savor, and connect! Your ticket includes wine, oil, and vinegar tasting with bread and charcuterie.

Doors open at 5:30 PM, with wine school commencing at 6 PM. The winery will accept orders for their wines.

Whether you run or walk, the public is invited to participate in the 2025 Navy Federal 5K. Join us on Saturday, April 5, as we celebrate the 15th annual Navy Federal Credit Union 5K Run/Walk/Roll in downtown Pensacola. Early registration is now open at a discounted rate of $18 for adults and $15 for youth, ages 5-13. Children 6 and under can also participate in the Sammie Sprint, a free quarter-mile race around Plaza Ferdinand.

Participation in this event benefits the Escambia County Public Schools Foundation, which funds projects and programs, including Grants for Excellence and employee appreciation programs. This event will also benefit the Santa Rosa Education Foundation. Their mission is to enhance and raise awareness of public education.

The early registration discount is available through March 23; however, registration will remain open until the start of the race. Registration is required for all participants and includes a race shirt.

The UWF College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities invites you to join us on Thursday, November 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a public reception at 5:30 p.m. at the Museum of Commerce in downtown Pensacola for the third installment of this year’s Gulf Coast Culture Series: Pensacola Noir, Murder, She Investigates.

Dr. Allysha Winburn, a biological anthropologist specializing in forensic and bioarchaeological research, and Dr. Cate Bird, missing persons and forensic manager for the International Committee of the Red Cross (United States and Canada), will examine the lasting cultural impact of the television series “Murder, She Wrote.”

The discussion will explore how the show shaped public fascination with forensic evidence and influenced popular understandings of crime-solving. Drawing on their own expertise, Winburn and Bird will connect the fictional world of Jessica Fletcher to the realities of forensic anthropology, investigative work, and human rights, revealing how cultural narratives intersect with science and justice.

Bring your friends, grab a drink, and get lost under the stars. Sip & Science: Lost in Space takes our usual fun antics appropriate for adults age 21 and up, and turns it into a journey through space (with wine). Join us for this fun and interactive planetarium show, including beer, wine, appetizers, and plenty of space (both socially distant and universe wise). That's right, you get to eat, drink, and relax while we take you on a tour through the galaxy, chocked full of trivia and audience participation. Sa-TURN down for what?! Join us a little early for each show to play with some of our out-of-this-world space activity stations from the NISE Network. Space is limited to 15 guests in the planetarium at a time, and masks must be worn when not eating and drinking. Shows run from 6:00-7:00 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m. The planetarium will be sanitized between shows for guest safety as well. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. for the 6:00 p.m. show and 7:15 p.m. for the 7:30 show. $20 for nonmembers/$18 for members Ticket price includes admission to 1 planetarium show, access to our Space Stations, drink tickets for adult beverages (beer and wine), and food. Attend one of the biggest nights of the year for the PCOS community! The Rise to the Challenge Gala is an incredible night of fun and entertainment.
