The 17th Annual Pumpkin Patch at First City Art Center - First Pick Preview Party
We are so thrilled to be bringing Pumpkin Patch back home to the First City Art Center campus this year! The First Pick Preview Party will be held Friday, October 6th from 5pm-8pm – General Admission Pumpkin Patch Sale will be Saturday, October 7th from 10am-2pm
Attendees will have thousands of hand-blown glass and handcrafted ceramic pumpkins to choose from. The pumpkins are created by artists working in the glass and ceramic studios at First City Art Center. Handmade pumpkins come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. Come and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces that are guaranteed to be “picked” quickly. Prices for pumpkins begin at $20.
The event not only supports FCAC as a non-profit center for the arts offering affordable art education and outreach programs, your pumpkin purchases also support over 40 local artists!
First Pick Preview Party: Friday, October 6th, 2023 5 – 8 p.m.:
Preview Party guests will have the first glance at over 5,500 handcrafted glass and ceramic pumpkins! Sales will be limited at this exclusive event.
The First Pick Preview Party includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres, drinks, live music, art demonstrations, raffles, and the opportunity to be the first to purchase a pumpkin!
FCAC Annual Pumpkin Patch is a signature event for Pensacola, and is the only Pumpkin Patch benefiting non-profit First City Art Center as an important cultural asset for the community.

Pilgrimage to Montgomery to visit the Equal Justice Initiative and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice
This is a faith-based journey from Pensacola to Montgomery to visit the Equal Justice Initiative Legacy Museum and the National Memorial for Peace and Justice. A chartered bus will leave from St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Pensacola on Saturday, November 5th, at 6:45 am. There is no charge for transportation but participants will need $5 per person to cover admission to the Legacy Museum. Pack a lunch, snacks, and drinks. Bring a mask and Covid vaccination card for verification. Dress comfortably for predicted weather conditions. The bus will return to Pensacola, arriving around 6:30 pm.
Pensacola Arts Market - From the Ground Up Community Garden
3 - 7 p.m.
The garden will be open for informal touring and outdoor games will be available. Pensacola Arts Market 3 - 7 p.m. will be on site, with a variety homemade wares from local artisans. 5 - 6 p.m. Join Bike Pensacola for a one hour Slow Ride around town.

Ministry Village at Olive presents 6th Annual Clay Shoot Fundraiser
Registration is open for the 6th Annual Ministry Village Clay Shoot. The Clay Shoot is a fundraiser for the programs of Ministry Village at Olive, including the Charis House, a faith-based residential recovery program helping women gain freedom from addiction, and Ministry Village at Olive. Ministry Village at Olive is a local nonprofit organization whose mandate is to express the love of Christ to all people through acts of service.
The Ministry Village Clay Shoot will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Santa Rosa Shooting Center, 6950 Quintette Road, Pace, Florida. This year’s event will also feature Pro-Shooter Gebben Miles - a multi-time professional tour, world and national champion.
Check-in begins Saturday morning, October 8, at 7:30 AM. At 8:00 AM, Gebben Miles will speak on life as a professional world champion shooter, and how he has woven his sharp-shooting skills and his faith together to glorify God. The safety meeting will immediately precede the start of the clay shoot at 9:00 AM. Teams or single shooters are welcome and shells are provided. Our Saturday event will also include a silent auction, live raffle, door prizes, and lunch immediately following the conclusion of the shoot. Gebben will give shooting tips at the most difficult target to help participants improve their skills. Participation is limited to the first 120 shooters.

Join writers Cindy Crabb and Dev Murphy for a public reading, followed by exhibit of their visual work. Reading starts at 3pm. Open Exhibit goes from 4pm to 6pm.
Cindy Crabb is best known for her seminal zine "Doris." She is frequently associated with Third Wave Feminism, she has also played in the punk bands Astrid Oto, Blank Fight, and Snarla. Dev Murphy is a poet and abstract comic artist based in Pittsburgh. Murphy's work has been published widely, including The Guardian, The Rupture, Arcturus Magazine, ANMLY, The Pinch, and Empty Mirror.
Both Cindy Crabb and Dev Murphy are the current Artists-in-Residence at the 309 Punk Project.
