  • This Christmas season, we will have Frasier-Fir trees for sale, ranging in price from $40 - $399, depending on tree size. Gulf Breeze High students and Optimist members, all volunteers, will be selling trees starting on November 22. All proceeds from this fundraiser are distributed to schools in our community throughout the year. Principals from each school help determine where these funds are needed most.

    The Christmas Tree lot location is the Gulf Breeze High School Stadium.

    · Opening day will be Saturday, November 22nd.

    · Hours: Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm,

    o Monday – Friday, 2:30 pm – 5:30 pm

    o Closed Thanksgiving Day

    o Open Black Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm

    Trees are trimmed and netted for transportation. Delivery is available

  • For one night only, our original, legendary storyteller returns, spinning cosmic yarns you can't afford to miss!

    Egyptian Myths & Legends: Come discover what the stars looked like thousands of years ago to the astronomers of Ancient Egypt. This family-friendly show will dive deep into the timeless stories of the Egyptian gods Ra, Osiris, Isis, and Horus, and some lesser-known tales about the lion goddess, Sekhmet, and the crocodile god, Sobek. We'll also learn fun facts about life in Ancient Egypt (such as what the first toothpaste was made of) and tour around the solar system with stops at Earth, Venus, the Sun, and the Moon. This show will end with a magnificent and magical display of Egyptian constellations. Recommended for ages 5+. All shows last approximately 45 minutes.

    Our Planetarium is an inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Space is limited. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended for this reason. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled showing. In case of no-shows/late shows: reserved spots will be released at show time to make space for the next party.

    6 P.M. True Crime Special Feature (Ages 21 and up)
    Our galaxy can be very dark, but have you ever wondered how dark? The True Crime planetarium will answer that question, and many more. While touring through the solar system, we'll discuss some of the most infamous crimes associated with outer space. Learn about the curious deaths of ancient astronomers such as Socrates and Hypatia of Alexandria, the cult that worshipped the 1997 Hale-Bopp comet, and numerous stories of astronauts behaving badly. Adultery, witchcraft, and moon rock robbery are only the beginning when you join us for a mysterious and murderous night under the stars.

    7 P.M. Sordid Secrets of the Stars Zodiac Edition (Ages 21 and up)
    What's your sign? Enter our planetarium for a deep dive into the 12 signs of the zodiac. In this adults only show, we’ll talk about what your individual zodiac sign says about your personality, both in and out of the bedroom. We’ll also talk about which signs you're most compatible with, which signs to avoid, and the bizarre (and sometimes sultry) Greek myths that inspired the zodiac symbols.

    Please join us for some Saturday afternoon hangs at a local venue that has been going for more than 40 years, while we make some noise. The Sauce Boss food truck will be serving delicious Wagayu smash burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, tenders, fries, tots, and more.
  • Take part in this cocktail mix off as you sample and vote for the most scientific cocktails in the area. Local bartenders and mixologists will be showcasing the chemistry, biology, and physics behind preparing these exciting cocktails...expand your vodka-bulary by sampling these scientific creations. The evening will also include light refreshments, live music, and chances to win prizes. All proceeds benefit the Emerald Coast Science Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Get into the spirit at this amazing event for guests ages 21 and up.

  • Under the direction of Dr. Hedi Salanki, this Chamber Music Concert on Wednesday, December 3, from noon to 2 p.m. at Old Christ Church, 405 South Adams Street in downtown Pensacola, serves as a traditional end-of-year celebration.

    Students will perform pieces written by Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Tchaikovsky and many others. The performance will include pieces performed by the UWF Brass Quintet, String Quartet as well as many duets and trios. Audiences will also enjoy a Christmas song sing-along.

    Music lovers of all ages, including school groups and senior citizens, are invited. Doors open at 11 a.m. and early arrival is encouraged.
  • Join the UWF Jazz Combo and UWF Jazz Ensemble on Thursday, December 4, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts under the direction of Dr. Joseph T. Spaniola for an evening of small and large ensemble instrumental and vocal jazz at the University of West Florida.

    The Combo will present works by Lerner & Lane, Hoagy Carmichael, Vince Guaraldi, Shoji Meguro, Chick Corea and more. The Jazz Ensemble will present works by Sammy Nestico, Quincy Jones, Bob Brookmeyer, Marty Paich, Paul Baker and more.

  • It's time for our 43rd annual WILDfest! Come visit for the annual celebration of our founding and bring a few supplies to help us restock after the craziest baby season we've ever had. Meet our permanent resident animals, enjoy local food, have some fun at our kids craft pavilion, and meet other local conservation groups who will be running fun activities for everyone. Our WILDfest goal is to fill up an entire trailer with supplies. Come join in on the fun!

  • Christmas can be a painful time for some, especially for those who are grieving or in despair. Each year, around the longest night of the year, we hold a contemplative service of healing prayers, scripture, and music that acknowledges God’s presence for those who mourn or struggle. All are welcome.
