  • Bike Pensacola joins with the Pensacola Association of Realtors to host Pensacola’s first Kids' Slow Ride followed by a Bike Safety Rodeo. Kids will ride (and parents can join them) a little less than a mile to a nearby East Hill park and back, escorted by motorcycle officers of the Pensacola Police Department. Free helmets will be given away by Sacred Heart Hospital, and participants will be eligible for prizes such as free bicycles. The pedal-powered The Rickshaw Live will join the Ride with live music by Pensacola performer Pat Meusel. No registration is required and the Kids’ Slow Ride is free.

After the Ride the Bike Safety Rodeo will take kids through a ride course setup in the Square to teach safe riding skills. The adult Slow Ride will also roll from Malaga Square at 10 am. More information is available at https://www.bikepensacola.org/
  • Join Bike Pensacola for the most popular bike ride in town--the Slow Ride! Each month we explore the quiet, scenic streets of Pensacola's many historic neighborhoods for a fun and leisurely ride among friends. This month we ride down the lovely streets of the East Hill and Eastside neighborhoods.

Because most cyclists are “self taught,” each month we offer information about bicycle laws, safety tips, and addressing different bicycling skills that will help keep rides safe and enjoyable. The ride will be about one hour and ten minutes long, at a casual pace. Nobody will be “dropped” or left behind. Children must be at least 10 years of age to ride their own bicycle, and ages 10 - 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No pets are allowed on the Rides. Cyclists under 16 must wear a helmet by law; ages 16 and up helmets are recommended but are not required by law. We will enjoy a ride escort by officers of the Pensacola Police Department.

For much more information about the Slow Ride please visit Bike Pensacola on Facebook or call 850-687-9968 or bike@pensacolacan.org
