WSRE Presents Amazing Kids Day Okaloosa

WSRE Presents Amazing Kids Day Okaloosa
WSRE’s Amazing Kids Day Okaloosa is a free, sensory-friendly event for families with children on the autism spectrum. The annual event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at the Fort Walton Beach Public Library.
Kids will enjoy hands-on learning activities while families learn about local resources from community organizations, including Autism Pensacola, Beyond Expectations, Lotus Learning & Arts Center, Military & Family Readiness Center Exceptional Family Members Program, Okaloosa County School District, Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, Pyramid Fort Walton Beach and Western Panhandle Early Steps.
WSRE will provide learning resources from PBS KIDS and activities from the new children’s program “Carl the Collector,” which follows the everyday adventures of a warm-hearted autistic raccoon who enjoys collecting things and loves his friends and family in Fuzzytown.
Amazing Kids Day will accommodate a limited number of children. Online registration is requested at wsre.org/events. Admission is free.
WSRE hosts two Amazing Kids Day events each year. The Pensacola event will be held Aug. 30 in the WSRE Amos Studio at Pensacola State College.
