UWF 2026 Holocaust Remembrance Event
UWF 2026 Holocaust Remembrance Event
Join the University of West Florida community for our 4th Annual Holocaust Remembrance Event, an evening dedicated to honoring the lives lost in the Holocaust and in subsequent genocides, and to reflecting on our shared responsibility to preserve historical memory.
This year’s theme, “Bridging Generations,” focuses on passing remembrance from survivors to younger generations to ensure history is not forgotten. Through reflection, music, and dialogue, the program invites attendees to consider the enduring impact of genocide and the importance of collective responsibility in confronting hatred, antisemitism, and violence.
The program will include welcoming remarks, a panel discussion examining genocide, a somber musical performance, a Seven Candles ceremony, and a reading of names.
Date: Tuesday, January 27
Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Location: Rolfs Music Hall, Building 82 (CFPA)
Cost: Free and open to the public
Additional Information: Light refreshments will be served.
