Race to the Rhein: Year of Victory
Step back to 1945 and the Allied World War 2 victory over the Axis at Crestview’s Race to the Rhein: The Year of Victory in Spanish Trail Park. The April 4 and 5 living history event is focused on sharing the history of the conflict in lively, colorful and tangible ways including re-enactor camps; a History Pavilion; an extensive onsite history museum; periodic demonstrations of weapons; history talks; battle scenarios; and much more.
The two-day event is capped by a Saturday night Victory Dance, 7-9 p.m. April 5, featuring dancing to the Hashtag Swing big band, a heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts buffet, history displays, and a cash beer and wine stand.
