Youth Mountain Biking Race Set to Take Place in Pensacola, FL
Pensacola, FL – March 1 and 2, 2025
Get ready to hit the trails as the city of Pensacola gears up to host its first-ever Youth Mountain Biking Race, bringing young athletes together for an exciting day of racing, camaraderie, and fun. The event will take place on Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2 at the University of West Florida
Trails, known for their challenging terrain and scenic beauty.
This race is designed for young riders of all skill levels and will feature different age divisions to ensure an exciting, competitive atmosphere for kids of middle school and high school ages. Whether they’re newcomers to the sport or seasoned riders,
participants will have the opportunity to challenge themselves and showcase their biking skills on the trails.
The event promises to be a great day of community spirit, with local sponsors, food trucks and an overall adrenaline-pumping environment.
Race Details:
Date: March 1 and 2, 2025
Location: University of West Florida trails, 11969 Pate St., Pensacola, Florida
Start Time: March 1 at noon and March 2 at 9 a.m.
Age Divisions: 6th-12th grade
“We’re beyond thrilled to offer this opportunity for our area’s youth to engage in an active, healthy sport,” said Coach Chris of the Gulf Coast Composite Team. “Mountain biking is not only a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors, but it also builds confidence and camaraderie among the kids. We look forward to a fun and competitive race.”
In addition to the race, there will be a designated area with food trucks, music to enjoy, as well as plenty of places along the trails to set up a hammock and cheer on the riders as they race by while enjoying our local wilderness.
Parents and spectators are encouraged to cheer on their young riders throughout the race then stick around for the awards ceremony at the end of each day.
