Pensacola Underground A-Z: An Archival Exhibit at 309 Punk Project
On Saturday, September 7th, the 309 Punk Project will host an exhibit that covers the regional counterculture in a way that's never been done before. "Pensacola Underground A-Z" will be an expansive look at the Pensacola counterculture that showcases selections from the 309 Punk Project's vast archives and lists the items in alphabetical order from A-Z on the walls. Historic artifacts and ephemera that tell another story of Pensacola--one that locals know but is rarely put on display until now.
Doors open at 6pm to give the public time to look over the exhibit. At 8pm, Author and historian of the underground Aaron Cometbus will host six-ten minute lectures on a vast array of subjects in Pensacola's history, followed by a unique fashion show. The night will close with a dance party hosted by DJ Ronnie Recacho with all-local (or local related) music.
In Pensacola history, there has never been anything like this before.
