Escambia County Vulnerability Assessment First Public Meeting
Escambia County announces the commencement of its groundbreaking Vulnerability Assessment Project, a crucial initiative aimed at safeguarding the unincorporated areas of Escambia County against environmental risks such as sea-level rise and flooding. In a concerted effort to ensure community involvement from the outset, Escambia County invites all residents to participate in the inaugural public meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 20th of 2024 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm CST. The meeting will be held at the Wedgewood Community Center at 6405 Wagner Road, Pensacola, Florida.
During this meeting citizens will have the opportunity to contribute their insights and preferences to the initial stages of data collection, methodologies, crucial data sets for analyzing potential sea-level rise impacts and flooding, guiding factors essential for consideration, as well as identification of critical assets vital to the community's well-being.
