Bat Chat, Benefits of Hosting Bats

Bat Chat, Benefits of Hosting Bats

Bat Chat with UF/IFAS

April is an ideal time to prepare your yard for bats, and we invite you to join us for an informative in-store presentation with Carrie Stevenson of the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS). This educational program will explore the important role bats play in healthy ecosystems, their value in natural insect control, and practical guidance on bat houses and habitat support.

Seating will be available for up to 20 attendees. Guests are welcome to bring their own chair for added comfort in the event that all seating is filled. Donuts and coffee will be provided. In support of waste reduction efforts, attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable cup for drinks.

This program is well-suited for homeowners, gardeners, and nature enthusiasts interested in learning more about local wildlife and conservation.
