34th Annual MLK Day Parade

34th Annual MLK Day Parade
The Martin Luther King Commemorative Celebration Commission, announces the return of the MLK Day Parade on Monday January 16, 2023. For 34 years, the MLKCCC has delivered the long-standing tradition that is celebrated along the streets of downtown Pensacola. The event had been placed on hold from 2020-2022 due to Covid-19 safety concerns. The MLK Day Parade will begin promptly at 11am. This all-day event features local schools, organizations, churches, businesses and attendees from the greater Pensacola community. The line up will start at the intersection of Spring and Garden Streets.
This year's theme derives from Dr. King's speech, "What is your life's blueprint". In it, Dr. King urged us to have a blueprint for our lives and adopt three key principles in the plan. They are: Have a deep belief in your own worth and dignity; incorporate excellence in all fields of endeavors; and commit to the eternal principles of beauty, love, and justice. The MLKCCC is committed to spreading and adopting this message as we work together to improve our community. We do so in respect and remembrance of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Registration is now open. To participate in the 2023 MLK Day Parade, please email the parade coordinator at themlking2020@gmail.com or call 850-378-9242.
