The Santa Rosa County School District is considering eliminating 45 positions to help cover an expected $3 million budget shortfall for the FY 26-27 school year. Santa Rosa joins other districts in the region and state that are experiencing budget constraints due to the loss of state funding, primarily because of the growing number of students leaving public schools and enrolling in Florida's school choice voucher program.
