  • The Freedom Fund Banquet is a unique opportunity for the Okaloosa County Branch, NAACP to recognize our friends and supporters who have stood with us throughout the year, and it is also our annual fund-raising effort to generate funds for the advancement of positive community outreach programs. We are honored to have as our special guest Ms. Roslyn M. Brock, Chairman Emeritus of the NAACP National Board of Directors. Ms. Brock is a dynamic speaker and activist, and we believe you are in for a treat. The Okaloosa County Branch is one of the hardest working small branches in the state of Florida and this year we have chosen the theme “This Is Power: Our Knowledge, Our Vote, Our Unity!” Our branch is celebrating 74 years of providing service to the Okaloosa County community and we are very proud of our legacy. Reception begins at 5:00 p.m. and dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. Dress is semi-formal.

    The ALA Annual Conference & Exhibition is the world’s biggest library event. It brings together thousands of librarians and library staff, educators, authors, publishers, friends of libraries, trustees, special guests, and exhibitors. Attendees participate in events, hear inspiring speakers, and learn from thought leaders and colleagues at hundreds of programs and in-depth sessions.

    The Exhibition is something to look for at the ALA Annual, where products and services that will improve library services and support librarians’ career development are on display. More than 900 vendors display new services, technologies, books, and products in the world’s largest library-focused exhibit hall. Displaying your book(s) at the ALA Annual Exhibition helps put your work in front of the library marketplace.
  • Crestview Area Shelter for the Homeless is celebrating its 2nd year at our current location by having a Benefit for Affordable Supportive Housing on June 19, 2021. This fundraising event will be held at Central Baptist Church facility the ROC at 1105 S. Pearl St. in Crestview Florida.

    We have many Live and Silent Auction items from local merchants, vendors, local artists, and supporters. NIGHT ON THE TOWN. CELEBRATE DAD, SELF-IMPROVEMENT, FUN, FOOD, BEDROOM MAKEOVER, ENLIGHTEN ME, MAN’S BEST FRIEND, OUTDOOR CHEF and a TREASURE CHEST of gift cards are some of the items waiting for YOUR bid.

    Music will be provided by Terrie and Justin with dinner available from Sonny’s BBQ at $10.00 adult and $5.00 for children under 12. Please Join us for the C.A.S.H. B.A.S.H.   • Join us for the 13th Annual Running of the Bulls Pensacola to benefit West Florida Roller Derby! Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Seville Quarter 9:00 AM! After party and awards to follow.


    The Running of the Bulls Pensacola is modeled after the world-famous Festival of San Fermín in Pamplona, Spain. To maintain the thrilling spirit of the Pamplona bull run without the hazard of live animals, however, our “bulls” are skaters from West Florida Roller Derby and guest skaters from leagues far and wide! The menacing derby bulls will be equipped with roller skates, horns, and plastic bats, ready to lovingly tap runners along the roughly two-mile course. After party and award ceremony to follow at Seville Quarter.
