  • The University of West Florida and the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present the Runge Strings Orchestra in concert on Thursday, October 6 at 6 p.m. The concert will be held in Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 7979 N. Ninth Ave, Pensacola.

For their first performance of the season the Runge Strings Orchestra will present a selection of Baroque and early classical music from Germany, Italy and England. The performance will close with a piece composed by American female composer, Florence Price, “Adoration for String Orchestra”. It has proven attractive for arrangers, including Elaine Fine, who has orchestrated it for solo violin and string orchestra.
The Runge Strings will be joined on the program by the UWF String Quartet. In addition, Jose Meza, Emma Pooler, Dr. Leonid Yanovskiy, Olivia Enkey, Dr. Victoria Adamenko, Delaney Adams, and Sam Spradling will be featured as soloists.
