    Cindy Crabb is best known for her seminal zine "Doris." She is frequently associated with Third Wave Feminism, she has also played in the punk bands Astrid Oto, Blank Fight, and Snarla. Dev Murphy is a poet and abstract comic artist based in Pittsburgh. Murphy's work has been published widely, including The Guardian, The Rupture, Arcturus Magazine, ANMLY, The Pinch, and Empty Mirror.

    Both Cindy Crabb and Dev Murphy are the current Artists-in-Residence at the 309 Punk Project.

  • Friends of the Pensacola State Parks are holding a nature-inspired Heron Trot 5K run honoring Veterans and Active-Duty Military at Big Lagoon State Park on November 11th. The race is open to all.

    Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a registered adult. Check in is at 6am with the race start at 7.

    To receive a patriotic Heron Trot shirt, register before Oct 25.

  • The history, heroism, excitement and drama of World War II’s European Theatre of Operations unfold once again in Crestview's Spanish Trail Park as the “Race to the Rhein” reenactment returns Friday and Saturday, April 5 and 6.

    Daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., re-enactor historians will present weapons demonstrations, history lectures, stage battle scenarios, host campsite visits and welcome guests to the onsite museum. With education the event’s primary focus, Friday is Student and Veterans Day, during which school and veteran groups will be conducted around the site by re-enactor historians.

  • Taste of Gulf Breeze, or "Taste" as we like to call it, is an annual food festival hosted by the Gulf Breeze Area Chamber of Commerce. At Taste, you'll have the opportunity to sample from local restaurants, bars, caterers, bakeries, food trucks, and businesses! Our event features dozens of unique vendors handing out bite-sized samples of their menus and products for your party to try.

    In addition to more food than is probably healthy to eat in one evening, you can enjoy dancing to tunes from a live DJ plus a special flash mob performance with First Dance Ballroom Studio!

  • A two-day Native American cultural experience featuring re-enactment of the 1814 Battle of Chumuckla, living Creek Village, 3,000 square foot Native American cultural education center, tomahawk throw, FREE hands-on children's take-home crafts, Petting Zoo, Pow Style drumming and dancing, 2015 World Champion Native American Hoop Dancer, Native American Flute entertainers, over 50 vendors including Native American Flute Makers and Native American Jewelry.

    Food and drinks are available including our Famous Indian Roasted Corn and Delicious Indian Fry Bread. Saturday and Sunday, November 23rd and 24th from 9:00AM - 6:00PM.
  • The Friends of the Crestview Library will be holding a book sale to benefit the Crestview Library on February 21st and 22nd.

    The book sale will be held at the Crestview Community, 1446 Commerce Drive, Crestview, FL 32536.

    The early bird sale will be on Friday, February 21st from 2:00 - 6:00 PM. There will be a $2.00 admission fee for the early bird sale. Dues paying members of the Friends of the Crestview Library will be admitted free. On Saturday, February 22nd, the sale will be held from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm. There is no admission fee on Saturday, February 22nd.

    Hardcover books are $1.00 and Paperback books are 2 for $1.00. Please note that this is a CASH ONLY sale.
