Planetarium Special Feature: Spooky Secrets of the Stars
Come dressed in Halloween costumes, get your Trick-or-Treat candy, and prepare to be scared! We're ready to celebrate Halloween under the night sky in our inflatable planetarium. Join us for a fun and scary night of monster stories, inspired by our planets, moons, and stars. There will be stories of familiar monsters (werewolves, vampires, and minotaurs), unfamiliar monsters (Karakondzula, Chimera, and Coatlicue), and the heroes who battled them. In a battle between good and evil, who will win?
Join our 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. show for family-friendly stories about the creepy creatures of mythology hidden in the night sky. These showings are appropriate for ages 5-6 and up.
Our 7 p.m. Spooktacular Show is more appropriate for ages 8 and up as the tales told during this show are spookier.
All shows last approximately 45 minutes.
Our Planetarium is an inflatable dome. Guests sit on cushions on the floor of the planetarium to view the show. Space is limited. Purchasing tickets in advance is highly recommended for this reason. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled showing. In case of no-shows/late shows: reserved spots will be released at show time to make space for the next party.

StarWound: “Interiors,” presented by Experience UWF Downtown
Join the Experience UWF Downtown Lecture Series on October 24 as the Athens, Greece -based, Angophone band StarWound presents “Interiors.”
The show’s theme, “Interiors,” grew out of the isolation spawned during the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme has also expanded thematically to include a range of connotations related to “interiors.”
Through their “rock cabaret” style, StarWound presents a philosophical and social reflection on the current human state. In the spirit of collaboration, the band bases their lyrical compositions off of modern-day poetic works.
StarWound has ranked amongst 150 bands at the “YourBand” contest of the National Greek Radio and TV Company.
The October 24th show will include poetic collaborations with UWF faculty and students, as well as work from previous collaborations on StarWound’s tour of U.S. universities.
Join us on October 24, 6:30 p.m. for a night of poetic reflections and musical compositions. Doors open at 6 p.m. and light refreshments will be available. The event is free and open to the public. However, tickets are required and can be secured at Evenbrite - https://tinyurl.com/4xrtka4n
The Experience UWF Downtown Lecture Series is presented and sponsored by the UWF College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities and in partnership with the UWF Department of English.
The series is funded in part by the John C. Pace Symposium Series.
