Megan Gardner is a 19 year old painter currently getting her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts at the University of West Florida. She grew up in Florida, and has been drawing since she was a kid. She has always loved the arts, whether in music, poetry, or visual arts, and hopes to one day build a career in art.

    Artist’s Statement:
In my artwork, my main focus is on themes of family, home, and comfort. I am inspired by nature and the way we perceive it as human beings. Using expressive color and mark-making, I want to explore how emotions and memories are held in images. At the core of my identity is my relationship with Jesus. The knowledge of God’s creative intention inspires the undertones of all of my art, and it is the ultimate comfort to know that I am created to be creative. I want my art to inspire people and invoke the same sense of comfort that I have found in knowing God.
