Thirteen local nonprofits were awarded $101,000 grants from IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area. The organizations were selected last weekend at IMPACT’s annual meeting.
IMPACT 100 is a philanthropic organization providing grants to nonprofits in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties. The grants are distributed in five focus areas: arts, culture and history, education, environment and recreation, family, and health and wellness. IMPACT 100 members contribute an annual membership fee of $1,000, which is used to fund grants.
This year, IMPACT had a record 1,313 members, which allowed for 13 grants of $101,000.
“For the first time in our history, IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area welcomed 20 grant finalists and selected 13 grant recipients—a powerful reflection of what our growing membership makes possible,” said Martha Holden, president of IMPACT 100 Pensacola Bay Area. “Each finalist shared an inspiring vision for our community, and we are proud to help bring these 13 projects to life. More members mean more opportunities to support local nonprofits, touch lives, and create lasting change throughout Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.”
