Bubba Watson Wins Masters; Ice Flyers Win President's Cup

via Sam Kessler

Bubba Watson won the 2014 Masters Golf Championship Sunday; his second win at August National in three years. Watson’s first Masters’ win in 2012 was also the first win of a major tournament on the PGA Tour.

He’s now just the seventeenth golfer to win the Masters - and its iconic green jacket - more than once.  Also, he’s just the fourth player in history to earn victories at the tournament in their first six or fewer appearances.

The Bagdad, Florida native and Milton High School graduate finished the 2014 Masters with a score of 8-under-par, edging out Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt by three strokes.

Watson jumped out to a lead after the first three rounds of the tournament. After relinquishing the lead in the early going Sunday, he came back strong to finish 3-under par, 69 in the final round.

With the victory, Watson earned over $1.6 million and moved up to #4 in the world rankings.
