Freeport High School now closed to general population evacuees. 

Walton High School - (Special Needs, General Population), 449 Walton Rd, DeFuniak Springs, FL

* A note from Walton County: Evacuation shelters are stocked with basic necessities for survival including food, water and a warm place to sleep. The shelter does not provide cots, blankets or pillows and may only allow for 20sqft of floor space.  Please be prepared to bring your own bedding items as well as any other important items including identification cards, prescriptions, and other important documents.

*Davidson Middle School is closed to general population evacuees. It’s now open to only  special needs evacuees. 

Northwest Florida State College Raider Arean, 100 E. College Blvd, Niceville, FL

Panhandle Animal Welfare Society will take-in animals at their facility for owners who are staying at local shelters in Okaloosa County. The shelter will stay open until 6 p.m. Thursday for owners to pick up their pets. For more information, call 850-243-1525.

Santa Rosa County

Milton Community Center - (Pet-Friendly and Special Needs) 5629 Byrom Street in Milton.

Escambia County

Escambia County Equestrian Center, 7750 Mobile Highway: Horses only. All horses must have a current Coggins test certificate. For more information, contact the Equestrian Center at 850-941-6042.

Airports

The Pensacola International Airport will be closed and cease all operations starting at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday.

Okaloosa County Airports, including Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS), Destin Executive Airport (DTS), and Bob Sikes Airport (CEW) will close and cease all operations starting on Wednesday, October 10 at 12:01 a.m. The airports will remain closed until further updates are provided.

Crestview Airport and Destin Aiport are also closed.

Closures

The 331 Bridge in Freeport is now closed

Port Panama City is closed. 

Trammel Bridge over the Apalachicola River on State Road (S.R.) 20 is closed.

Port Pensacola is closed.

U.S. 98 (S.R. 30-A) is closed from West Rutherford Street to Cape San Blas Road.

S.R. 30-E (Cape San Blas Road) is closed. 

S.R. 363 in Wakulla County is closed from St. Marks City Hall to the St. Marks River. 

Highway 399 (J. Earle Bowden Way) is closed between Navarre Beach and Pensacola Beach. 

Okaloosa County business offices are closed Thursday. 

City of Destin offices and facilities will remain closed Thursday, Oct. 11

Escambia County EOC is closing at 5 p.m. and will return to normal hours Thursday, Oct. 11.

Hospitals

Destin ER (200 Tequesta Dr, Destin, FL 32541) is closed.

Eglin AFB Hospital and ER (307 Boatner Rd, Eglin AFB, FL 32542) are closed.

Sacred Heart Hospital (7800 US-98, Miramar Beach, FL 32550) ER is open; however, the hospital is not accepting inpatient admissions at this time.

All other hospitals in Okaloosa County are open until further notice

Outpatient dialysis will reopen on Thursday, 10/11 at 8am, if weather permits. For more information, please contact Joan Pastef (850) 621-6244.

Schools

Bay County and Walton County schools are closed through Thursday, Oct. 11. A decision for Friday will be made by 3 p.m. Thursday. 

Okaloosa schools are closed through Thursday. Santa Rosa, and Escambia County schools are closed Wednesday as well as Pensacola State College, Northwest Florida State College, Pensacola Christian College and the University of West Florida.
