Runge Strings Concert
The University of West Florida and the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present the Runge Strings Orchestra in concert on Tuesday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the Rolfs Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Pensacola campus.
For their final performance of the spring semester the Runge Strings Orchestra will present a concert consisting of diverse musical styles from Mozart to Chopin to Hindemith. The Runge Strings Orchestra will be joined by six wind players consisting of UWF sStudents and fFaculty. Three soloists will also be performing: Dr. Brittan Braddock, clarinet, dDirector of Bands and Music Education; Caroline Bruns, viola; and Andrew Gregg, piano. Dr. Leonid Yanovskiy will conduct the Mozart Clarinet Concerto (2nd Movement), Paul Hindemith’s “Trauermusik” for Viola and Orchestra, and the 1st movement of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 in E Minor.
