Frostiana

Frostiana

The Choral Society of Pensacola opens its 2021-2022 season with "Frostiana," a program devoted to American music, featuring Randall Thompson’s classic setting of seven poems by Robert Frost. The Choral Society's 80-voice chorus and an 11-piece chamber orchestra will be conducted by the Society’s new artistic director, Peter Steenblik.

The program also includes a song with words by another great American poet, Emily Dickinson. The women of the chorus will perform James Mulholland’s setting of her poem “Heart, We Will Forget Him." Rounding out the concert are "Amazing Grace," "Down by the Riverside," and the inspiring anthem "Lift Every Voice."
