Sunday, March 7

State Reports Lowest Death Increase In Months

After averaging around 130 additional deaths per day, the state reported 66 deaths in Sunday's FDOH report. No additional deaths from local areas. The state also added 4,098 infections.

  • Escambia added 46 cases and has a 6.97% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 13 cases and has a 3.92% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 25 cases and has a 5.84% positivity rate
  • Walton added 5 cases and has a 6.25% positivity rate

Saturday, March 6

State Adds 4,690 Cases, 107 Deaths

The state added 4,690 infections and 107 deaths according to Saturday's FDOH report. Of the 107 statewide deaths, two were from local areas; both in Okaloosa County. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 69 cases and has a 5.25% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 25 cases and has a 5.76% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 39 cases and has a 8.90% positivity rate
  • Walton added 6 cases and has a 4.51% positivity rate

Friday, March 5

Vaccination Update

  • Doses administered in Florida: 5,074,996
  • Escambia County: 68,390
  • Santa Rosa County: 42,770
  • Okaloosa County: 45,491
  • Walton County: 18,379

State Adds 5,975 Cases, 138 Deaths

The state added 5,975 infections and 138 deaths according to FDOH's Friday report. Of the 138 deaths, six were from local areas: three from Escambia County and three from Okaloosa County. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 60 cases and has a 3.83% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 24 cases and has a 5.16% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 49 cases and has a 7.25% positivity rate
  • Walton added 16 cases and has a 5.24% positivity rate

Thursday, March 4

State Adds 6,118 Cases, 126 Deaths

Florida added 6,118 infections and 126 deaths according to Thursday's FDOH report. Of the 126 deaths, seven were from local counties: two in Escambia and five from Santa Rosa County. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 65 cases and has a 4.38% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 32 cases and has a 5.38% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 35 cases and has a 6.61% positivity rate
  • Walton added 23 cases and has a 5.07% positivity rate 

Wednesday, March 3

State Adds 6,014 Cases, 133 Deaths

The state added 6,014 infections according to Wednesday's FDOH report. Statewide, 133 new deaths were reported. Of those, two were from local areas: one in Escambia County and one from Okaloosa. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 90 cases and has a 7.63% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 57 cases and has a 10.82% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 82 cases and has a 13.49% positivity rate
  • Walton added 27 cases and has a 6.33% positivity rate

Tuesday, March 2

State Adds 7,179 Cases

Infections in the state increased again with 7,179 new cases Tuesday according to the FDOH report. Another 140 deaths were also reported statewide. Only one local death was reported, in Escambia County. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 91 cases and has a 7.69% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 45 cases and has a 9.98% positivity rate 
  • Okaloosa added 108 cases and has a 14.94% positivity rate
  • Walton added 20 cases and has an 8.52% positivity rate

Monday, March 1

Cases Slow Statewide And Locally

On Monday, the state added 1,700 cases — one of the lowest increases in months. The state also added 150 deaths, only two of which were reported from the local area: Escambia County. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 32 cases and has a 9.64% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 10 cases and has a 6.67% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 29 cases and has a 18.13% positivity rate
  • Walton added 4 cases and has a 7.89% positivity rate
