Acoustic Interlude Sessions
New Episode Released Each Wednesday

Acoustic Interlude Sessions is a music oriented podcast featuring artists with national and international followings as well as local musicians from the Pensacola, Florida area. Selected from a large pool of performing songwriters who have appeared on the Acoustic Interlude radio program, these specific artists were chosen for their outstanding musical abilities as well as the interesting life lessons they have learned while pursuing their careers. Each episode consists of four original pieces and several minutes of conversation.

  • The Krickets are a trio with deep roots in the American Gulf Coast region. They have received accolades from throughout the U.S. including recognition at the Independent Music Awards. Their latest studio album was recorded at the famous Muscle Shoals studio in Alabama by Grammy nominee Ben Tanner from Alabama Shakes.
  • Billy Howell is a guitarist, teacher, composer and performer. Over the years he has founded multiple popular bands and performed solo in venues, concert halls and festivals throughout the country. His musical styles range from folk-rock to jazz.
  • Jen and Rob Slocumb have been performing as Martha’s Trouble since they were teenagers. Now comfortably married and raising a family in Opelika, Alabama, they maintain an active performance schedule, operate their own recording studio and are co-founders of the Opelika Songwriters Festival. Over the years they have produced and released 12 albums.
  • Dalton Wright is a modern songwriter and performer specializing in a contemporary folk sound through his solo performances and a more modern folk-rock sound through his group, the Dalton Wright Trio.
  • New Orleans' self-styled diva, Lili Lewis. Her powerful voice is matched by her over the top personality. Lilli Lewis has been a successful New Orleans musician for several years, spinning intricate stories with her songs.
  • A popular Gen-X crooner and guitar player reminiscent of Elvis Costello. Pat Meusel describes himself as an interpreter of the popular music of the day through his original songs. He’s travelled around the country and finally made the Pensacola, FL area his home where he performs solo and with various bands.
  • Hiro is an accomplished guitarist and songwriter now living in New York City. He was born and raised in Japan where he studied music, excelling in guitar. For the past several years he has made his home in the United States and gives concerts and workshops throughout the country,
  • Katie Dineen is a performing songwriter, music promoter, and environmental activist in the Pensacola area. In addition to her solo career she performs with her band Monarch and the Milkweeds, and tirelessly promotes area musicians. Katie is the founder and organizer of the Pensacola Songwriter Rounds, a monthly showcase for up and coming talent from the Pensacola area.
  • Kipyn Martin Kipyn Martin is an award winning performing songwriter from the Washington DC area with deep musical roots in the Shenandoah Valley. She has been the recipient of the Washington Area Music Association New Artist Award as well as being named Songwriter of the Year and best Contemporary Folk Artist.
