- Yesterday’s statewide positivity rate for new cases is 5.89 percent.
- Yesterday was the seventy-eighth straight day below 10 percent positivity of new cases.

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 13,517 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 269 individuals.

FDOH Update
Data reported to the Agency for Health Care Administration shows that the number of COVID-19 positive patients that are currently hospitalized is down more than 70% since July. As 11:15 a.m., there are 2,347 current hospitalizations with a primary diagnosis of COVID-19. Yesterday’s statewide positivity rate for new cases is 4.90% and the state continues its trend as the seventy-seventh straight day below 10% positivity of new cases.

Statewide, COVID-19 Deaths On A Downward Trend
Today, data reported to DOH shows there has been a steady decline in the number of reported Florida resident deaths who were previously diagnosed with COVID-19. The second week of August compared to the second week of September, shows a 74 percent decrease in the average number of reported COVID-19 related deaths.
13,445 Culmulative Positive Cases Escambia County
As of 2 p.m., October 28, Escambia County has had 13,445 positive COVID-19 cases.
This number is expected to change daily due to the return of results from ongoing testing. The best source for up-to-date information regarding confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Florida is the Florida Department of Health website and the associated Data and Surveillance Dashboard and Daily Report.

Seventy-Four Days Below 10% Positivity Rate
Today, data reported to the Agency for Health Care Administration shows that the number of COVID-19 positive patients that are currently hospitalized is down more than 70% since July. As posted on the Agency for Health Care Administration’s hospitalization dashboard at 11:45 a.m., there are 2,248 current hospitalizations with a primary diagnosis of COVID-19.
