Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive This Weekend

Your browser doesn’t support HTML5 audio

The annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is set for this weekend and, in the aftermath of last week's flood, it's taking on added significance this year.   Each year the nation's letter carriers conduct their Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on the second Saturday in May.  Post Office branches and Publix supermarkets will have collection boxes set up all this week for non-perishable food items...but this Saturday is the big day for letter carriers collecting food. People can just leave as many non-perishable food items by their mail box as they wish and letter carriers will pick the food up during regular mail delivery hours. The food will then be distributed to area food banks.
