In part two of our look back at the assassination of President John F. Kennedy 50 years ago this week, WUWF’s Dave Dunwoody sat down with University of West Florida historian Patrick Moore – on how the shooting affected the Cold War.
Dr. Moore looks at how both the U.S. and Western Europe braced for a possible aggressive move by the Soviet Union in the wake of the shooting, and how no such action occurred. He also discusses changes in foreign policy brought about by the ascendency of Lyndon B. Johnson to the White House.
