Pensacola Locals Want Reality "Stars" To "Party Down" Somewhere Else
Local backlash is growing against the possibility of a Jersey Shore style reality show coming to Pensacola. The PNJ referred to "Party Down South" as "sordid" and "raunchy" and it sounds like locals agree. A Facebook Page "Locals Against Party Down South in Pensacola" had 417 likes.

Collier Merrill Appointed to Gulf Consortium
NorthEscambia.comand Rick's Blog are reporting on Merrill being appointed by Governor Rick Scott to the Gulf Consortium group. According to Rick Outzen, "It was formed to meet requirements of the RESTORE Act to develop a State Expenditure Plan for economic and environmental recovery of the Gulf coast in Florida following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill."

New Art House Opens in Destin
Destin's Main Street business owners were depressed when they heard their area was labeled as such by the city of Destin. In response they formed the Destin Main Street Betterment Alliance to help promote business and culture in the area. The Destin Log has that story.

You Can Have A Drink Again On The Navarre Pier
According to the Navarre Press new management of the pier is bringing the bar back.
