Voter registration books for the November 3 General Election will close on Monday.

Florida law mandates registration books close 29 days before an election. That leaves just a few days to register or make party-affiliation changes. Address changes can be made after the books close.

To register or check on the status of your registration, stop by or go online to the website of your local Supervisor of Elections office: www.escambiavotes.gov, www.votesantarosa.com, www.govote-okaloosa.com, and www.votewalton.com.

Voter registration applications are available at Florida Division of Safety and Motor Vehicles or driver’s license offices and county tax collector’s offices. Find information and a link to www.registertovoteflorida.gov/home.

A link to the state’s voter registration form is also available on the League of Women Voters voter resource website www.vote411. Additionally, registration forms can be printed, filled out, and mailed in to supervisor of elections offices. Mailed forms must be received or postmarked no later than Oct. 5.

To allow more time for voters to register before the book-closing deadline, supervisor of elections offices have announced extended hours on Monday.
