Sunday, Sept. 13

Florida: 32 straight days with fewer than 10 percent positive cases

Today, Florida had the 32nd straight day below 10 percent positivity of new cases. The state department of health said today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 2,423 new positive COVID-19 cases and 8 reported deaths -- 2 occurred Saturday. 

Test results for more than 62,300 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Saturday when 4.26 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are 663,994 Florida cases with 12,608 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Saturday, the death of eight Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Dade, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jefferson, Leon, Marion and Palm Beach counties.

Saturday, Sept. 12

98 more deaths reported in Florida

From the state department of health:

Today, Florida had the 31 straight day below 10 percent positivity of new cases.

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 3,190 new positive COVID-19 cases and 98 reported deaths -- 4 occurred Saturday. 

Test results for more than 79,100 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Friday, when 4.44 percent of new cases tested positive. To date, there are 661,571 Florida cases with 12,600 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Friday, the death of 98 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Citrus, Clay, Dade, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Marion, Martin, Nassau, Okeechobee, Orange, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Suwannee, Union and Volusia counties.

Free Food Distribution Sept. 19

Echo Life Church and Feeding the Gulf Coast will distribute free food to families and individuals in need, as well as free clothing available for those who need it, on Saturday, September 19. Friday, Sept. 11

Three more deaths in Escambia

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,766 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 203 individuals.

Deaths reported in Escambia, Santa Rosa

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 3,650 new positive COVID-19 cases and 176 reported deaths -- 5 occurred Thursday.

Test results for more than 73,800 individuals were reported as of midnight Thursday, when 5.53 percent of new cases tested positive.  

To date, there are 658,381 Florida cases with 12,502 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Thursday, the death of 176 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Alachua, Baker, Bay, Bradford, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Clay, Collier, Columbia, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Gilchrist, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Jackson, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Taylor, Union and Volusia counties. 

Thursday, Sept. 10

Escambia death toll at 200

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,702 positive COVID-19 cases.  The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 200 individuals.

More deaths reported across Panhandle

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 2,583 new positive COVID-19 cases and 211 reported deaths -- 7 occurred Wednesday. 

Test results for more than 51,300 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Wednesday, when 5.54 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are 654,731 Florida cases with 12,326 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Wednesday, the death of 211 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Alachua, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Columbia, Dade, Dixie, Duval, Escambia, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Hernando, Hillsborough, Jackson, Lake, Lee, Leon, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okaloosa, Orange, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Volusia, Wakulla, Walton and Washington counties.

Wednesday, Sept. 9

Escambia death toll at 194

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,634 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 194 individuals.

More deaths reported in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 2,056 new positive COVID-19 cases and 200 reported deaths -- two occurred Tuesday. 

Test results for more than 44,000 individuals were reported to the department of health as of midnight Tuesday, where 5.94 percent of new cases tested positive. To date, there are 652,148 Florida cases with 12,115 deaths related to COVID-19.  

Since Tuesday, the death of 200 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Dade, Desoto, Duval, Escambia, Flagler, Gadsden, Hendry, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Leon, Marion, Martin, Monroe, Nassau, Okaloosa, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Lucie, Sumter, Suwannee and Volusia counties. 

Produce Giveaway With Pensacola Police Department 

The PPD is partnering up with First City Church of Pensacola Wednesday to give away 600 boxes of fresh produce to those who wish to have it. Citizens can come to the Brownsville Assembly of God at 1 p.m. to pick up a box. Volunteers will be there until supplies run out.

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,575 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 193 individuals.

1,823 New Cases In Florida

Today, as reported at 11 a.m., there are 1,823 new positive COVID-19 cases and 44 reported deaths — four occurred yesterday, September 7. As posted on the Agency for Health Care Administration’s hospitalization dashboard at 12:15 p.m., there are 3,156 current hospitalizations with a primary diagnosis of COVID-19. Test results for more than 40,800 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Monday, September 7. On September 7, 4.96%  of new cases tested positive. To date, there are a total of 650,092 Florida cases with 11,915 deaths related to COVID-19.

Monday, Sept. 7 

Today, as reported at 11 a.m., there are 1,838 new positive COVID-19 cases and 22 reported deaths - 3 occurred yesterday, September 6. As posted on the Agency for Health Care Administration’s hospitalization dashboard at 12:45 p.m., there are 3,160 current hospitalizations with a primary diagnosis of COVID-19. 

 

Test results for more than 46,000 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Sunday, September 6. On September 6, 4.55% of new cases tested positive. 

To date, there are a total of 648,269 Florida cases with 11,871 deaths related to COVID-19. 

 

Since September 6, the death of twenty-two Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Dade, Duval, Hillsborough, Jackson, Marion, Monroe, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk and St. Lucie counties.
