FREE Rapid COVID-19 Testing In Walton County

The Florida Department of Emergency Management is providing free drive-thru rapid COVID-19 testing. Drive-thru Sunday, Nov. 22, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. School District Bus Barn Just North of Freeport High School, 12615 US-331Freeport, FL 32439

Another 9,000-Plus Cases

Florida added another 9,085 cases bringing the statewide total to 923,418. The state also had 80 deaths. Statewide positivty rate is 7.64%. To see the full report, click here

Escambia: 7.26%

Santa Rosa: 10.86%

Okaloosa: 20.99%

Drive-Thru Testing In Escambia County

FDOH-Escambia Downtown Center, 1300 West Gregory Street. Use drive-thru entrance on West Wright Street between North G Street and North H Street.

When: Open 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. CST on the following dates: Monday, November 23 Tuesday, November 24 Monday, November 30 Tuesday, December 1 Thursday, December 3 Friday, December 4 Closed on Wednesdays. Closed on November 26-27 for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Who: All Florida residents with or without symptoms.

How: Drive-thru, no appointment needed. Bring your Florida driver’s license. Only Florida residents will be tested.

Daily Number Reaches Over 9,000 Cases

Florida reported 9,085 new cases bringing the statewide total to 914,333. The state also added 79 deaths. For more information, visit floridahealthcovid19.gov. 

In Escambia County, a total of 15,436 have tested positive for COVID-19 and the total number of COVID-19 related deaths is 290. 

Percent Posivity for local areas:

Escambia: 8.42%

Santa Rosa: 16.69%

Okaloosa: 14.17%

Walton County: 8.78%

Wednesday, Nov. 18

Statewide Total Reaches Over 900,000

Florida added 7,925 coronavirus cases Wednesday, putting the total number at 905,248. 

289 Dead In Escambia County

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 15,298 positive COVID-19 cases.  The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 289 individuals.

Tuesday, Nov. 17

7,350 Cases Reported

FDOH reported7,350 new caseson Tuesday. In Escambia County, there are 93 current hospitalizations.

Okaloosa County High Positivity Rate

Okaloosa County has had a 14% positivity rate for the past five weeks. According to Okaloosa County's Key Metrics report, the total of new cases was 561, up from 519 the previous week.

Monday, Nov. 16

COVID-19 Spike Over The Weekend

On Nov. 15, FDOH reported 9,928 new cases, according to the Florida COVID Response page. As of Monday afternoon, Escambia County has15,118 total cases.
