Friday, March 18

Vaccine Eligibility Age Lowerd To 50

In a press conference Friday morning, Gov. DeSantis announced he's lowered the age of eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine to 50. Watch the press conference here:

Wednesday, March 17

State Adds 4,599 Cases, 59 Deaths

Florida added 4,599 infections Wednesday. The state added 59 deaths, none of which from local counties. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 24 cases and has a 1.91% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 23 cases and has 7.03% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 28 cases and has a 7.55% positivity rate
  • Walton added 7 cases and has a 4.12% positivity rate

Tuesday, March 16

Statewide Cases And Deaths See Uptick

On Tuesday, the state added 7,617 infections to it's total number. An additional 201 deaths were also recorded statewide bringing the total to 33,061. Of those 201 deaths, six were from local counties: three from Escambia, two from Santa Rosa and one from Okaloosa. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 33 cases and has a 3.57% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 31 cases and has a 9.85% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 27 cases and has a 3% positivity rate
  • Walton added 14 cases and has a 6.38% positivity rate
