Three-Day Spike Puts Cases At 73,552
Test results for more than 39,800 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Friday, June 12. Today, as reported at 11 a.m., there are:
· 2,581 new positive COVID-19 cases (1,885 Florida residents and 17 non-Florida residents)
· 48 Florida resident deaths related to COVID-19
The percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 5 percent. On June 11, 6.2 percent of new cases** tested positive.
There are a total of 73,552 Florida cases with 2,925 deaths related to COVID-19.

Antibody Tests Report Available
The Florida Department of Health announced that antibody COVID-19 test results data is now available. The report will be provided once a week and contains county, race and lab information on antibody COVID-19 tests in Florida. The report is available here.

More COVID test sites in Okaloosa
The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County (DOH-Okaloosa) and Okaloosa County Emergency Medical Services (Okaloosa County EMS) are partnering to expand COVID-19 testing offered to community residents and are providing additional testing dates for June.
DOH-Okaloosa and Okaloosa County EMS began providing drive-thru testing for COVID-19 in May and have tested more than 2,100 community members at seven different testing sites.

There are 70,971 Florida cases with 2,877 deaths related to COVID-19.
Since data reported at 10 a.m. Central on Thursday, the deaths of 29 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Alachua, Calhoun, Dade, Flagler, Hillsborough, Martin, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk and Washington counties.

Escambia death toll at 37; 944 cases
As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 944 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 37 individuals.
47 more deaths in Florida, including Escambia County
The state Department of Health announced today there are 1,698 new positive COVID-19 cases. There are a total of 69,069 Florida cases with 2,848 deaths related to COVID-19.
Since data reported at 10 a.m. Central, the deaths of 47 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Alachua, Broward, Collier, Dade, Desoto, Dixie, Duval, Escambia, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota and St. Lucie counties.
Escambia expands COVID testing
The Florida Department of Health in Escambia County (FDOH-Escambia) is expanding specimen collection for COVID-19 offered to Florida residents in June. The primary focus is virus testing from throat swabs to help identify those who are COVID positive and that need contact tracing.

Sites for COVID-Testing in Escambia County
Persons who become sick should call, do not visit, their health care provider and tell them about their symptoms and travel history or exposure to a COVID-19 patient. Persons who do not have a health care provider or health insurance, may call (do not visit) Community Health Northwest Florida at 850-436-4630 or other community walk-in care locations, and tell them about their symptoms and travel history or exposure to a COVID-19 patient.
An online assessment screening for COVID-19 is available to determine if further diagnostic testing is needed. The screening can also be accessed by texting “Screen” to 850-318-3080. The screening is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also call the screening center at 850-434-4080 to determine if you need an appointment.
COVID-19 testing is available at several locations in Escambia County, including drive-thru and walk-up testing.
- IMPORTANT: Pre-screening may be required before arriving at testing centers by calling the local COVID-19 Screening Call Center at 850-746-2684.
- The screening call center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The call center staff will assist in helping find the testing center that best fits the needs of each person needing a COVID-19 test.
- The hours of operation for the testing centers for COVID-19 are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The call center staff will confirm the hours, as they vary by location and day of week.

There are 67,371 Florida cases with 2,801 deaths related to COVID-19.
Since 10 a.m. Central, the deaths of 36 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Dade, Desoto, Hamilton, Hillsborough, Lee, Leon, Manatee, Monroe, Orange, Palm, Beach, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota counties.

Northwest Florida COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program
A second round of grants from the Florida SBDC at UWF will be available for eligible businesses impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic offered by Gulf Power. The Northwest Florida Small Business COVID-19 Recovery Grant Program assists for-profit businesses in Northwest Florida with their immediate cash flow needs as a result of a demonstrated economic impact due to COVID-19. The application period for the second round of grants will be open from 8 a.m. Monday, June 8, to 5 p.m. Friday, June 12.
