State reports 17 more deaths; 3,494 new cases
From the state Department of Health:
Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are:
- 3,494 new positive COVID-19 cases (3,469 Florida residents and 25 non-Florida residents)
- 17 Florida resident deaths related to COVID-19
There are a total of 97,291 Florida cases with 3,161 deaths related to COVID-19.
The deaths of 17 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Dade, Highlands, Indian River, Pinellas and Seminole counties.
Saturday, June 20
More than 4,000 new cases in Florida; 40 deaths
The state department of health is reporting there are 4,049 new positive COVID-19 cases (4,027 Florida residents and 24 non-Florida residents). There are also 40 Florida resident deaths related to COVID-19.
There are 93,797 Florida cases with 3,144 deaths related to COVID-19.
The deaths of 40 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Calhoun, Collier, Dade, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota and St. Lucie counties.
Friday, June 19
1,127 cases in Escambia
As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 1,127 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 41 individuals.
Florida Breaks Another COVID-19 Record
Florida Department of Health has reported 3,822 new cases of COVID-19, breaking the one-day record of 3,207 set yesterday.
Florida now has 89,748 total confirmed cases and 3,104 deaths associated with COVID-19.
Thursday, June 18
Escambia’s death toll at 40
As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 1,089 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 40 individuals.
Florida Sets New One Day Record
Florida has 3,207 new coronavirus cases — the largest one day spike for the state.
There is now a total of 85,926 cases for the state.
Since data reported at 11 a.m. on June 18, the deaths of forty-three Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Alachua, Broward, Charlotte, Collier, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Manatee, Martin, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Seminole, St. Johns and Volusia counties.
Wednesday, June 17
Escambia has had 1,052 COVID cases
As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 1,052 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 38 individuals.
ECAT employee tests positive
From Escambia County:
“An ECAT employee has tested positive for COVID-19. ECAT management was notified by the employee on Tuesday, June 16 at 3:30 p.m. This driver drove on Saturday, June 13 for the first time since April 8. Steps are being taken to notify employees.
“Our priority remains the safety and health of our employees and passengers. The break room was fogged. Door handles are wiped down daily and there continues to be plenty of PPE and cleaning supplies. Buses are disinfected every night and ECAT operators are required to wear masks while driving buses.
“In conjunction with ECAT management, the Florida Department of Health will evaluate the ECAT facility for testing space today, and testing will be available Thursday and Friday on site for employees. If any employees have concerns, the county strongly encourages them to get tested at the ECAT facility or one of the sites listed on the county COVID-19 web page.”
25 more deaths and 2,610 more cases in Florida
Test results for more than 25,200 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Tuesday, June 16. Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are:
- 2,610 new positive COVID-19 cases (2,548 Florida residents and 62 non-Florida residents)
- 25 Florida resident deaths related to COVID-19
There are a total of 82,719 Florida cases with 3,018 deaths related to COVID-19.
The deaths of 25 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Columbia, Dade, Hendry, Hillsborough, Jackson, Manatee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, St. Lucie and Volusia counties.

Escambia cases top 1,000
As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 1,020 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 38 individuals.
2,783 New Cases Reported From FDOH
Test results for more than 39,300 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Monday, June 15. Tuesday, as reported at 11 a.m., there are:
2,783 new positive COVID-19 cases (2,740 Florida residents and 43 non-Florida residents)

Test results for more than 34,300 individuals were reported to FDOH as of midnight, on Sunday, June 14. Today,(Monday) as reported at 11 a.m., there are:
1,758 new positive COVID-19 cases (1,738 Florida residents and 20 non-Florida residents)
7 Florida resident deaths related to COVID-19
The percent of those testing positive for COVID-19 overall is 5 percent. On June 14, 5.4% of new cases tested positive.
There are a total of 77,326 Florida cases with 2,938 deaths related to COVID-19.
