Over 9,000 Cases Statewide, 132 Deaths
The state added 9,535 cases according to Sunday's FDOH report. An additional 132 deaths were also reported, one of which in Escambia County. No additional deaths reported in Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties.

- Escambia added 183 cases and has a 12.14% positivity rate
- Santa Rosa added 100 cases and has a 16.84% positivity rate
- Okaloosa added 105 cases and has a 13.11% positivity rate
- Walton added 28 cases and has a 11.65% positivity rate
Saturday, January 23
Over 12,000 Cases Statewide
The state reported 12,311 cases Saturday and 156 deaths. Locally, there were 10 reported deaths. Three in Escambia, six in Okaloosa and one in Walton County. No additional deaths reported in Santa Rosa County.

Friday, January 22
Over 13,000 Cases Added Statewide, 24 Local Deaths
FDOH reported 13,719 additional COVID-19 cases in Friday's report, as well as 277 additional deaths statewide. The total number of deaths is now 25,405. Local areas reported a total of 24 deaths in Friday's report. Twelve in Escambia, five in Santa Rosa, six in Okaloosa and one in Walton County. For the state's vaccine report, click here.

Florida Surgeon General Signs Order Prioritizing Residents For Vaccine
Thursday afternoon, Florida's Surgeon General Dr. Scott Rivkees signed an order requiring vaccine providers to ensure vaccine recipients are state residents or health care provider working with patients in Florida. Read the order here.
More Than 12,000 New Cases Statewide
FDOH reported an additional 12,873 COVID cases Thursday and an additional 163 deaths statewide. Locally, nine deaths were reported: three in Escambia, five in Santa Rosa and one in Walton County. No additional deaths were reported in Okaloosa County.

Wednesday, January 20
Escambia Reports 21 Deaths
The state added 11,914 cases according to Wednesday's FDOH report. An additional 145 deaths statewide were also reported. Locally, Escambia reported 21 deaths, Santa Rosa reported 11 deaths, Okaloosa reported one death and Walton County reported no additional deaths.

- Escambia added 302 and has a 12.98% positivity rate
- Santa Rosa added 135 cases and has a 25.95% positivity rate
- Okaloosa added 169 cases and has a 29.16% positivity rate
- Walton added 41 cases and has a 19.61% positivity rate
Tuesday, January 19
State Adds Almost 10,000 Cases
The state reported an additional 9,816 cases as well as an additional 163 deaths according to Tuesday's FDOH report. Only one of the reported deaths occurred locally — in Walton County. Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties did not report any additional deaths. According to the state's vaccine report, a total of 1,066,107 people have received the COVID-19 vaccine, with 100,351 completing both doses.

FDOH-Escambia Releases Vaccine Distribution Plan
FDOH-Escambia announced this week's COVID-19 vaccine distribution plan in Escambia County.
Vaccines allocated by the State are being distributed through County Health Departments, which are receiving an allocation based on their county’s percentage of Florida’s over-65 population. Earlier today, FDOH-Escambia received an allocation of 2,500 doses of the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine and is coordinating with community partners on distribution efforts.
In partnership with Ascension Sacred Heart, Baptist Health Care, Community Health Northwest Florida and West Florida Hospital, FDOH-Escambia is distributing vaccine to the cities of Century, Molino and Pensacola.
FDOH-Escambia’s allocation will be distributed accordingly:
- Ascension Sacred Heart: 1,050 doses
- Baptist Health Care: 1,000 doses
- Community Health Northwest Florida: 200 doses
- FDOH-Escambia: 250 doses
- West Florida Hospital: Assessing distribution
Most appointments will be scheduled using the information collected from FDOH-Escambia’s COVID-19 online interest form. FDOH-Escambia and partner organizations are in the process of contacting these individuals to schedule appointments. Please do not contact the providers directly for these appointments.
If you completed the online form, FDOH-Escambia or partners may reach out to you to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment. On January 15, FDOH-Escambia announced the temporary closure of the online interest form as we continue to work through the list of individuals who completed the online form.
Monday, January 18
State Adds 8,000-Plus Cases, Walton County Sees Lowest Positivity Rate
The state added 8,002 COVID-19 cases according to Monday's FDOH report. An additional 142 cases were also added, only one reported in the local area — Walton County. Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties did not report additional deaths. After weeks of high positivity rates in the panhandle, Walton reported it's lowest rate in some time — 2.54%.
