Sunday, Jan. 3

Over 10,000 Cases Added

The state added 10,603 cases according to Sunday's FDOH report. An additional 100 deaths were also reported, six of which occurred locally. Four in Escambia and two in Walton, no deaths reported in Okaloosa or Santa Rosa counties. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 192 cases and has a 20.16% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 164 cases and has a 30% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 86 cases and has a 16.09% positivity rate
  • Walton added 40 cases and has a 19.23% positivity rate

Saturday, Jan. 2

Over 31,000 Cases Added In Two Days

FDOH reported 31,518 more cases in the state for the last two days as data was not presented on New Year's Day. The state also added 220 deaths since Thursday's report. Nine of the deaths occurred locally with six in Escambia, two in Santa Rosa and one in Okaloosa. No deaths were reported in Walton County. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 665 cases since Dec. 31 and has a 15.34% positive rate
  • Santa Rosa added 312 cases since Dec. 31 and has a 19.97% positive rate
  • Okaloosa added 269 cases since Dec. 31 and has a 16.51% positive rate
  • Walton added 141 cases since Dec. 31 and has a 17.65% positive rate

Thursday, Dec. 31

Over 17,000 Cases Statewide, 12 Local Deaths Reported

The state added 17,192 COVID-19 cases according to Thursday's FDOH report, the total number is now 1,323,315. The state also reported and additional 133 deaths, 12 of which occured locally: one in Escambia, four in Santa Rosa, five in Okaloosa and two in Walton County. 

The state also reported 211,165  have been vaccinated.

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 341 cases and has a 14.70% positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 244 cases and has a 33.47% positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 194 cases and has a 18.80% positivity rate
  • Walton added 

Wednesday, Dec. 30

Okaloosa To Host Vaccine Clinic For Seniors 

DOH-Okaloosa will hold a vaccination clinic for adults age 65+ on Jan. 6. While appointment spots have already filled up, you can stay updated for future dates by following: okaloosa.floridahealth.gov for additional announcements.

13,000 New Cases, Nine Local Deaths

The state added 13,871 new cases according to Wednesday's FDOH report. The state also reported 139 more deaths, nine of which occured locally: five in Escambia, one in Santa Rosa, two in Okaloosa and one in Walton. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 365 cases and has a 14.31% new case positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 249 cases and has a 29.66% new case positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 183 cases and has a 23.61% new case positivity rate
  • Walton added 61 cases and has a 12.53% new case positivity rate

Tuesday, Dec. 29

Ten Deaths Locally, High Positivity Rates

The state added 12,075 cases according to Tuesday's FDOH report. The state also reported 105 more deaths, 10 of which occured locally. Seven in Escambia, one in Santa Rosa and two in Walton County. No deaths reported in Okaloosa. 

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 136 cases and has a 51.81% new case positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 112 cases and has a 77.14% new case positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 73 cases and has a 47.71% new case positivity rate
  • Walton added 50 cases and has a 48.84% new case positivity rate 

Monday, Dec. 28

Two Local Deaths Reported

The state added 8,198 cases and reported 99 more COVID deaths accoridng to Monday's FDOH report. Two of the deaths occurred locally, one in Escambia and one in Santa Rosa. No deaths reported in Okaloosa or Walton counties.

Local numbers:

  • Escambia added 99 cases and has a 20.08% new case positivity rate
  • Santa Rosa added 89 cases and has a 28.38% new case positivity rate
  • Okaloosa added 82 cases and has a 22.50% new case positivity rate
  • Walton added 26 cases and has a 16.67% new case positivity rate
