Sunday, Sept. 6

3,656 New Cases 

Today, as reported at 11 a.m., there are 3,656 new positive COVID-19 cases and 61 reported deaths - five occurred yesterday, September 4.

As posted on the Agency for Health Care Administration’s hospitalization dashboard at 11:45 a.m., there are 3,235 current hospitalizations with a primary diagnosis of COVID-19. Test results for more than 70,000 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Friday, September 4. On September 4, 5.99 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are a total of 643,867 Florida cases with 11,811 deaths related to COVID-19.

Saturday, Sept. 5

Florida reports 61 deaths

Today, as reported at 11 a.m. Eastern, there are 3,656 new positive COVID-19 cases and 61 reported deaths - 5 occurred Friday. 

Test results for more than 70,000 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Friday, when 5.99 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are 643,867 Florida cases with 11,811 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Friday, the death of 61 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Citrus, Collier, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Gadsden, Hamilton, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Leon, Marion, Nassau, Okaloosa, Orange, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Seminole and St. Lucie counties.

Friday, Sept. 4

Escambia death toll at 192

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,418 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 192 individuals.

100 more deaths in Florida

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 3,198 new positive COVID-19 cases and 100 reported deaths -- 14 occurred Thursday.

Test results for more than 71,100 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, Thursday, when 5.10 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are 640,211 Florida cases with 11,750 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Thursday, the death of 100 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Hernando, Indian River, Jackson, Lake, Lee, Levy, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Seminole,  Wakulla and Washington counties.

Thursday, Sept. 3

Escambia reports another death

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,360 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 190 individuals.

Florida death toll at 11,650

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 3,571 new positive COVID-19 cases and 149 reported deaths -- 8 occurred Wednesday. 

Test results for more than 65,200 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Wednesday. On Wednesday, 6.23 percent of new cases tested positive.  

To date, there 637,013 Florida cases with 11,650 deaths related to COVID-19.  

Since Wednesday, the death of 149 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Glades, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Leon, Manatee, Marion, Martin, Okaloosa, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Lucie, Sumter, Taylor and Volusia counties.

Another death in Escambia

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,312 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 189 individuals.

Three weeks below 10 percent positivity in Florida

Today, Florida had the 21st straight day below 10 percent positivity of new cases.

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 2,402 new positive COVID-19 cases and 127 reported deaths - 14 occurred Tuesday. Test results for more than 50,700 individuals were reported to the Department of Health as of midnight Tuesday. On Tuesday, 5.63 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are 633,442 Florida cases with 11,501 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Monday, the death of 127 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Gulf, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Lake, Lee, Leon, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Nassau, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Suwannee and Volusia counties.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

Escambia death toll at 188

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,256 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 188 individuals.

11,374 deaths in Florida

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 7,569 new positive COVID-19 cases, out of those, 3,870 were results older two weeks, some dating back to April, per a delay in reporting from Quest Diagnostic Labs. Today, as reported at 10 a.m., there are 187 reported deaths -- 4 occurred Monday. 

Test results for more than 127,900 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Monday, when 6.81 percent of new cases tested positive. To date, there are a total of 631,040 Florida cases with 11,374 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Monday, the death of 187 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Baker, Bay, Broward, Calhoun, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Columbia, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Gulf, Hernando, Indian River, Lafayette, Lake, Lee, Leon, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Nassau, Orange, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter, Taylor and Volusia counties.

Monday, Aug. 31

Escambia’s positive cases tops 11,000

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 11,183 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 186 individuals.

68 more deaths in Florida

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 1,885 new positive COVID-19 cases and 68 reported deaths -- 3 occurred Sunday. 

Test results for more than 39,500 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Sunday, where 5.52 percent of new cases tested positive.  

To date, there are 623,471 Florida cases with 11,187 deaths related to COVID-19.  

Since Sunday, the death of 68 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Dade, Hillsborough, Lake, Lee, Marion, Martin, Orange, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk counties. 

Escambia suspends road crews

Escambia County Corrections received a positive COVID-19 test result at the work annex, formerly known as the road prison. As a precaution, Escambia County will suspend for a second time road crew operations that provide services throughout the county, a county news release said.

These services include, but are not limited to, grounds keeping throughout the county and support to the landfill, animal services, code enforcement and fleet maintenance. 

Latest Update from FDOH

Today, Florida had the eighteenth straight day below 10 percent positivity of new cases. A

As reported at 11 a.m., there are 2,583 new positive COVID-19 cases and 14 reported deaths - five occurred yesterday, August 29.

There are 3,792 current hospitalizations with a primary diagnosis of COVID-19. Test results for more than 60,000 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Saturday, August 29. On August 29, 5.14% of new cases tested positive. To date, there are a total of 621,586 Florida cases with 11,119 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since August 29, the death of fourteen Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Brevard, Dade, Hillsborough, Marion, Okaloosa, Pasco and Putnam counties.
