51 more deaths reported in Florida

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 2,974 new positive COVID-19 cases and 51 reported deaths -- 2 occurred Saturday.  

On Saturday, 5.52 percent of new cases tested positive. To date, there are 600,571 Florida cases with 10,525 deaths related to COVID-19.  

Since Saturday, the death of 51 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Broward, Dade, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jackson, Lee, Leon, Marion, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Seminole and St. Johns counties. 

Saturday, Aug. 22

106 more deaths in Florida, including Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 4,311 new positive COVID-19 cases and 106 reported deaths - 6 occurred Friday. 

Test results for more than 98,600 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight, on Friday. On Friday, 4.89 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are 597,597 Florida cases with 10,274 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Friday, the death of 106 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Collier, Dade, Gulf, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jackson, Lake, Lee, Marion, Okaloosa, Okeechobee, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Seminole, St. Lucie, Volusia and Walton counties.

Friday, Aug. 21

Another death in Escambia

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 10,684 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 171 individuals.

119 more deaths in Florida

Today, as reported at 10 a.m., there are 4,684 new positive COVID-19 cases and 119 reported deaths - nine occurred Thursday. To date, there are 593,286 Florida cases with 10,168 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Thursday, the death of 119 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jackson, Lee, Leon, Manatee, Martin, Nassau, Okaloosa, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Putnam, Seminole, St. Johns, Suwannee and Volusia counties.

CareerSource To Host Virtual Job Fair

CareerSource EscaRosa along with FloridaWest, The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce, The Gulf Coast Minority Chamber, Studer Community Institute, Pensacola Young Professionals, and Fleet and Family Support Center will host the first “Re-Employ Escarosa Campaign”. It will include Virtual Job Fairs and professional development opportunities. Employers include Waste Pro, Studer Community Institute, AutoZone, Santa Rosa County, and City of Pensacola. Escambia to provide meals to distance-learning students

The Escambia County School District will provide meals through curbside service for students who selected distance learning. Starting Monday, families may pick up one breakfast and lunch per student each day school is in session at any location of their choice, regardless of the student’s assigned school.

Distribution sites and times are listed below. 

When parents arrive to pick up meals they will be asked for their students’ names and school ID numbers. Families with students that pay full or reduced price for meals, should put money on their student’s account online at myschoolbucks.com to cover the cost of the breakfast and lunch.

Escambia death toll at 170

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 10,595 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 170 individuals.

Florida death toll tops 10,000

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 4,555 new positive COVID-19 cases and 117 reported deaths - 16 occurred Wednesday.  Test results for more than 77,100 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Wednesday. On Wednesday, 6.78 percent of new cases tested positive.

To date, there are 588,602 Florida cases with 10,049 deaths related to COVID-19.

Since Wednesday, the death of 117 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Bay, Brevard, Broward, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, Dade, Escambia, Flagler, Gulf, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Indian River, Jackson, Lee, Martin, Monroe, Nassau, Okaloosa, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Sarasota, St. Lucie and Volusia counties.

Wednesday, Aug. 19

219 more deaths in Florida

On Tuesday, 7.08 percent of new cases tested positive.  

To date, there are 584,047 Florida cases with 9,932 deaths related to COVID-19.  

Since Tuesday, the death of 219 Florida residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have been reported in Alachua, Brevard, Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Clay, Collier, Columbia, Dade, Duval, Escambia, Gilchrist, Gulf, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Lake, Marion, Okaloosa, Orange, Osceola, Palm Beach, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Sarasota, Seminole, St. Johns, St. Lucie, Sumter and Suwannee counties.

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 10,499 positive COVID-19 cases. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths in Escambia County residents is 164 individuals.

As of 2 p.m., Escambia County has had 10,405 positive COVID-19 cases. The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Escambia County residents is 159 individuals.

219 more deaths in Florida

Today, as reported at 10 a.m. Central, there are 3,838 new positive COVID-19 cases and 219 reported deaths.  

Test results for more than 56,800 individuals were reported to DOH as of midnight Monday. On Monday, 7.91 percent of new cases tested positive.  

To date, there are 579,932 Florida cases with 9,758 deaths related to COVID-19.
