Mother's Day for Mother Earth is a one-day event organized by local group Sustainable Pensacola that will provide qualified instruction on ECUA’s proper recycling disposal methods and guidelines. Residents are encouraged to bring their recyclable materials to the site and learn how to effectively separate usable recyclable curbside materials from contaminated materials. Working with ECUA to organize the event, Sustainable Pensacola is also partnering with local environmentally-conscious retail businesses who are offering incentive rewards to event participants. Bonfire Pizza, Blue Jay’s Bakery, Bailey’s Produce and Nursery, Open Books, Black Garlic Market, Inc., Wild Magnolia Kombucha, Dolce & Gelato, East Hill Pizza, Helikal, The Farm Produce Stand, and The Nest General Store. ECUA’s Quench Buggy will be on-site providing fresh-chilled water as staff distributes free yard waste bags, environmental refrigerator magnets, residential cooking oil containers, and updated information on the free ECUA Recycle Coach app. What to Bring: Glass, newspaper, cardboard, plastic milk jugs, aluminum cans/lids, cereal boxes, metal pots/pans, plastic bottles, and tin/steel cans/lids.
