Florida Power & Light on Wednesday filed a proposal at the state Public Service Commission that seeks a go-ahead for 12 new solar-energy facilities.

With the Florida Supreme Court upholding the state’s new restrictive abortion ban, pregnant women in Florida, especially those in South Florida, may soon head to countries in Latin America, where several countries have legalized the procedure, a reproductive health expert told WLRN on Friday.
The court's first Black justice was Joseph Woodrow Hatchett in 1975, and its most recent Black justice was Peggy A. Quince, who became its first Black female chief justice in 2008. She retired in early 2019 after 20 years on the court.
