federal
investigation
of the
Escambia
County
Sheriff’s
Office and
Escambia
County Jail.
Although no
specific
case or
complaint
was
revealed,
there have
been a
number of
highly
scrutinized
jail deaths
and
deputy-involved
shootings
over the
past decade.
Newly
elected
Sheriff
David Morgan
recently
discussed
the matter
with the
media.
